Integrated solutions from QMotion® and Vantage® focus on balancing daylight and artificial light for improved visual comfort in residential luxury spaces

Pensacola, Fla. AND Pleasant Grove, Utah, August 23, 2018 – Human Centric Lighting (HCL) technologies from Legrand, the global leader in AV infrastructure, networking, and digital systems, are at the forefront at CEDIA 2018. Brands QMotion and Vantage will showcase industry leading shading systems and lighting controls that combine to deliver precise lighting for the residential market. For our Custom integrator partners, Legrand provides the capability to strike the optimal balance between artificial and ambient lighting.

To simplify HCL delivery, Vantage is applying a unique approach utilizing both analog and digital technologies. This approach also includes cultivating key partnerships and providing continuing education to deliver strategies for fine tuning environmental and visual comfort. Highlights include:

Multi-faceted Approach: Vantage HCL delivers the unmatched precision needed to seamlessly integrate all lighting sources regardless of technology type. Using Design Center Software, integrators can easily program and configure intuitive and powerful lighting strategies based on local Circadian schedules. Vantage touchscreens and keypads, including the new adorne® Low-Voltage Keypad, offer homeowners the capability to modify lighting based on daily needs.

Partnerships: The Lumenetix® araya5 light engine forms the bridge between Vantage's control technology and an extended range of fixture manufactures including complementary partnerships with LF Illumination and others. At CEDIA, Vantage and LumaStream will demonstrate their collaboration on a unique and efficient topology for HCL applications.

Education: Vantage is collaborating with design professionals in providing in-field design and education for integrated lighting control strategies. In addition, Legrand product marketing manager Cassie Crawford will be presenting "Healthy Homes: Integrated Shading and Lighting-Control Strategies for Effective Daylighting" on Thursday, September 6 as part of the CEDIA Training & Certification sessions. Crawford will walk the audience through the why's and how's of employing a daylighting approach for effective internal lighting to improve the home environment.

Natural light and simulated natural light have been shown to boost productivity, improve the mood of occupants in the home, and help regulate sleep cycles and natural circadian rhythm. In addition, HCL strategies also help home occupants feel more awake and ready for whatever task is at hand. The result: happier, healthier human beings.
