Flannigan & Associates will rep QMotion window shades in five states August 13th, 2013
PENSACOLA, Fla. Aug. 13, 2013 — QMotion Advanced Shading Systems, a leader in automated window coverings, is expanding its reach into the Midwest, thanks to a business partnership announced this week.
Flannigan & Associates Inc. will now offer QMotion’s products to retailers and installers in Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas and southern Illinois.
Ben Kutell, director of marketing for QMotion, said he believed Flannigan & Associates’ years of experience and solid reputation would give QMotion an advantage as it ventured into new markets.
“Flannigan & Associates has been in business since 1963,” Kutell said, “so they know the market, and the market knows Flannigan.”
The company — based in Lenexa, Kan. — works with more than 30 brands, specializing in home theatre and audio-visual systems, and provides sales training, merchandising and inventory management to its network of partners.
Dennis Flannigan, who founded the firm half a century ago, said his company was grounded on the principles of customer support, product training and dealer development.
Flannigan & Associates sends product specialists into the field everyday, he said, to ensure that their products are functioning properly and merchandised effectively and that salespeople and installers receive the best training.
"QMotion is a great fit with our company,” Flannigan said, “and we are excited about the interest we are receiving from our dealers."
QMotion, based in Pensacola, Fla., has earned a reputation for smart design and even smarter innovation. The company won the Window Covering Manufacturing Association award for "Best New Technological Innovation" in 2012 — for a system that significantly extends battery life and reduces noise. QMotion also created the first automated shade with a manual override option.
Just this year, the company announced the release of Qsync, a system that allows homeowners to easily adjust their shades from anywhere with just the tap of a touch screen on their mobile device.

QMotion is a leader in the field of automated home and office window shades, which are rapidly growing more important as we realize the value of climate control. Remote programming lets property-owners decide when to raise and lower shades. Unlike shades with cords, automated shades are safe for children or animals, and they’re easy for elderly people to use.
