QMotion's Growth Spurs Creation of New Positions June 19th, 2014

PENSACOLA, Fla. June 19, 2014 —Strong growth has prompted creation of new positions at QMotion Advanced Shading Systems, a leader in automated window treatments.

Colleen Silloway, a 20-year veteran of the window covering industry, has been named procurement manager, a new position for QMotion. She has been customer service manager for the company; her recent duties included developing and launching a full line of custom-printed roller shades in the Southeast. Her experience covers many facets of the industry including ownership of a contract installation company, located in the Mid-Atlantic area, which was identified as a former VIMCO Key Service Provider. In addition, she has retail sales experience as a showcase dealer and subsequent ownership of a wholesale sales and fabrication company located in Atlanta, Ga., servicing several of the nation’s top home builders.

Replacing Silloway as Global Customer Service/Training manager is Matt Uhl, a QMotion employee since March 2013. Before joining QMotion, Uhl managed golf courses, served as assistant director for admissions and scholarships at Mississippi State University and was a digital media consultant with Hearst Media. He brings an unprecedented level of customer service and knowledge of QMotion’s innovative product lines. Both Silloway’s and Uhl’s care for customer service was recently recognized by CE Pro, with a Gold Quest for Quality award for the company’s excellence in customer service.

Brian Gressett is now corporate controller. Gressett joined QMotion in 2010 as senior accountant and then became corporate accounting manager. He has worked with companies in the employee leasing, construction, automotive, restaurant and trucking industries.

QMotion operates worldwide from its headquarters in Pensacola, Fla. It won the 2012 award for “Best New Technical Innovation” from Window Covering Manufacturing Association for a system design that significantly extends battery life and reduces noise. QMotion also developed the first automated window shades featuring a patented manual override featured and is the only automated window treatment company offering products that can be operated by hand, remote or smart device.
