QMotion Announces Qadvanced with ZigBee Home Automation v1.2 Roller Shades April 20th, 2016
PENSACOLA, Florida – QMotion recently launched the new Qadvanced Motorized Roller Shades with ZigBee Home Automation v1.2, meeting ZigBee specifications.
The new Qadvanced with ZigBee HA1.2 battery operated shades with 2-way communication are ideal for retrofit installations. These upgraded Qadvanced with ZigBee HA1.2 shades provide enhanced communication consistency compared to proprietary protocols and come with built in collision avoidance. The QMotion shades will “wake up” at set intervals, thus controlling the battery usage in a highly consistent manner. Adding 2-way communication allows for feedback of the shade position with automation applications. Qadvanced shades with ZigBee HA1.2 have all the exclusive features as the Qadvanced Gen2 shades.
Through QMotion’s new Qube, motorized shade products will interface with home automation systems and could communicate through other ZigBee product communication nodes. In addition to extending the home automation benefits, the new 2-way communication function helps with battery life as the shades will be more efficient in conserving energy through predetermined connection times. The Qube can also operate in a stand-alone environment with the QMotion App for remote control using any Android or iOS mobile device.
Additionally, the Qadvanced ZigBee HA1.2 shades use the new QdR wireless remotes using ZigBee communications. Improving signal strength, range and shade battery life, the stylish and smaller remote utilizes five channels for easy programming.
From the world’s narrowest shade at 15.5” to our extra large options (up to 144” x 144” on one tube, or up to 288” x 144” with the Qlink coupler system), QMotion Roller Shades allow for a customized experience. Shades are available in either standard or reverse roll, and numerous options are available for fabrics, fascia and hembars to accentuate your décor. With nearly 300 fabrics, offerings include solar, sheer, translucent, decorative and blackout options, allowing varying degrees of privacy, view-through, glare control and degrees of heat gain.
As with all QMotion’s motorized products, the new Qadvanced with ZigBee HA1.2 shades are equipped with a patented manual override feature. An industry exclusive, customers can operate the shades by remote control or by hand without damage to the shade or motor.
