QMotion Exhibits New Honeycomb Shade Fabric Collection and Other Award-Winning Solutions at IBS 2017 January 10th, 2017

ORLANDO, Fla., January 10, 2017 – QMotion, a brand of Legrand, is showing its award-winning automated window coverings, including the Qadvanced Intelligent System Motorized Roller Shade Collection (QIS) and Qadvanced with ZigBee Home Automation v1.2 at the International Builders’ Show® (IBS) Booth #W5360 from January 10-12, 2017 in Orlando, Florida. QMotion also debuts its new Honeycomb Shade fabric collection at the event.

QMotion’s Honeycomb Collection is available for manual as well as automated installations. Exclusive to QMotion is that the manual Honeycomb shades can be easily motorized without replacing the entire shade. These shades are now offered in six different styles of Honeycomb fabrics and 135 color and style options. They also come with color coordinated head and bottom rails. The new collection offers more choices for interior design schemes, while providing optimum shading and energy efficiency. It features beautiful, high-quality fabrics that add warmth and a designer style to a home’s décor.

The QIS hardwired roller shades deliver a robust and dependable control system. There are four different control options available for installation: Patented Manual Override, Hardwire Switches, Smart Device, and QdR wireless remotes using ZigBee HA1.2 for two-way communication without the need for additional plug-ins to the shade motor. The system easily integrates with industry leading lighting control and automation solutions such as Vantage Controls and Control4. Installers can integrate shade control seamlessly into a whole house or single room automation system, while simultaneously receiving accurate feedback on shade positioning for improved performance, remote monitoring, and maintenance. Battery operated Qadvanced with ZigBee HA1.2 roller and honeycomb shades can also monitor battery levels with the 2-way communications to the integration system.

All QMotion shades come with a patented manual override technology that allows shade operation with a tug of your hand. Shades also feature QMotion’s patented counter balancing spring system. It also keeps motor power consumption to an absolute minimum and delivers near silent operation in every application.

“The new Honeycomb fabric collection and solutions like QIS and Qadvanced with ZigBee are great additions to show at IBS this year,” said Cassie Metzger, Product Marketing Manager, Residential Market for Legrand, North America. “QMotion combines sophisticated technology, simplicity of installation and operation, clean lines and modern finishes that help homeowners easily manage light for energy savings and comfort. Now, with even more style choices, we can be sure to have the perfect shading solution for any installation.”

Legrand’s Building Control Systems division, which includes leading brands QMotion, Solarfective, Vantage, and Wattstopper offers the industry’s best and broadest selection of integrated and proven automated lighting control and advanced shading solutions for residential and commercial applications.
