QMotion Makes Huge Leaps in Shading Systems Market after a Stellar 2016 January 3rd, 2017
PENSACOLA, Fla., January 11, 2017 – QMotion celebrates its one-year anniversary of its acquisition by Legrand, North and Central America by reflecting on brand and industry growth. In 2016, QMotion continued to provide customers with top-notch products and customer service that met the needs of integrators. The company also introduced new solutions into the marketplace such as the Qadvanced Motorized Roller Shades with ZigBee Home Automation v1.2 and Qadvanced Intelligent System Motorized Roller Shade Collection (QIS). These efforts placed QMotion in the CE Pro 100 Brand Analysis for the fourth year in a row, with an impressive 22 percent increase in integrators using QMotion since 2015.
The CE Pro 100 Brand Analysis surveys the highest-revenue integrators to find the top brands in each industry. Ranging from Architectural Loudspeakers to Security and Fire Systems, the report covers every type of consumer electronic and analyzes the top brands in each category. In the 2016 report QMotion was recognized by 33 percent of the top integrators in the Motorized Window Treatments category, surpassing Crestron, which was recognized by a quarter of the integrators.

The December 2015 acquisition by Legrand, North and Central America has provided QMotion with a host of new partnership opportunities and product channels that have expanded sales options. QMotion is part of Legrand’s Building Control Systems division, which includes leading brands Solarfective, Vantage, and Wattstopper that bring together the industry’s best and broadest selection of integrated and proven automated lighting control and advanced shading solutions for residential and commercial applications. These opportunities have helped the consistent growth of sales revenue and increased QMotion’s dealer base by several hundred.
Looking ahead to 2017, QMotion will continue to build brand recognition among AV integrators by strengthening its programs and continuing to work with customers on feedback to advance products and solutions.
